GOLD Perinatal 2019 online conference is quickly approaching! We’re gearing up for another fantastic event as we hear from 14 expert speakers in the main conference alone, with our delegates enjoying all of the conveniences of online education.

We invite you to join us in kicking off this year’s event on October 1 at our Opening Keynote Presentation “Induction of Labor-Hormonal Costs and Consequences for Mothers and Babies”.

Opening Keynote Speaker Dr. Sarah Buckley is a family physician, writer, and lecturer with a special interest in the hormonal physiology of labour and birth. She completed an extensive scientific report on this topic in 2015 and she is the author of the internationally best-selling book Gentle Birth, Gentle Mothering.

“Induction of Labor-Hormonal Costs and Consequences for Mothers and Babies” takes us through an in-depth look at the physiological onset of labour, fetal readiness for the stresses of labour, and transition to life outside the womb. Delegates will learn about pre-labour physiological preparations that can improve breastfeeding and attachment outcomes. Dr. Buckley will also share the potential long-term effects of induction.
