GOLD Perinatal Care Conference News

GOLD Perinatal Online Conference 2018 is the childbirth conference you’ve come to count on for the most current perinatal education with leading experts! This year’s presentations are rich with transferable and practice-changing knowledge, and they’ll equip you with skills you can apply immediately to your practice.

Registration opens on on August 1, with early bird savings available until September 20. Discounts are also available for groups of 5 or more delegates as well as for full-time post-secondary students.

In this sixth annual conference, you’ll find 16 engaging speakers in the main conference. Presentation topics range from physiologic birth to breastfeeding education, neonatal resuscitation, the microbiome, and beyond. We’ve selected industry leaders who are ready to share their expertise and the latest information from the field of perinatal health.

Our conference will kick off on October 1 with our Opening Keynote Presentation where we’ll be joined by Christina G. Hibbert, Psy.D. with “Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders: Essential Clinical Skills”. This talk explores recognizing the signs and symptoms of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, accessing resources, and providing quality care to families. On October 29, we’ll wrap up the live presentation days with our Closing Keynote Presentation “The Return of Breastsleeping: Humankind’s Oldest and Most Successful Sleep and Feeding Arrangement” from James J. McKenna, Ph.D. Attendees will increase their understanding of evidence-based principles surrounding infant sleep and feeding as Dr. McKenna takes a critical look at current recommendations and information. Both of these events are free to the general public, so be sure to reserve your free seat and join us!

These lecture packs delve into key areas in perinatal health and wellness. The Mental Health in the Perinatal Period, Optimizing Milk Production, and Breastfeeding Education and Advocacy lecture packs each include six presentations where you’ll deepen your knowledge and advance your skills.

Live conference presentations take place between October 1 and 29, with 24/7 access to recordings until December 3. GOLD Annual Members enjoy an additional 3 weeks of viewing time until December 27. Conference delegates can also access exclusive online forums where they have the opportunity to chat and ask speakers questions about their presentations. Our conference Facebook discussion group offers further opportunities to build connections and keep the conversation going. On Twitter, you can find us at @GOLDPerinatal where we’ll live tweet all presentations with the #GOLDPerinatal2018 conference hashtag.
